About Us

The North American Cambridge Classics Project (NACCP) collaborates with the Cambridge School Classics Project and Cambridge University Press to promote and support the Cambridge Latin Course and its users.

NACCP
The North American Cambridge Classics Project (NACCP) held its inaugural meeting on June 19, 1987 during the annual American Classical League Institute at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. Its formation was one of the many initiatives taken by Professor Ed Phinney of the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, in his role as North American coordinator for the Cambridge Latin Course.

Current activities and services of NACCP:
- The Phinney-Gleason Memorial Scholarship provides financial support for teachers attending virtual training.
- The NACCP Facebook group, Twitter, and Instagram provide a forum for teachers who use the CLC to exchange ideas, lesson plans, and resources; to discuss current classroom topics; and to get feedback for your questions. Representatives from NACCP, CUP, and CSCP participate in this group.
- Participate in free webinars offered monthly throughout the school year.
- Attend the annual summer workshop that is supported by Cambridge University Press.
- Newsletters are published in the fall and spring to provide news, information, and scheduled activities of interest to CLC users.
- Teaching Materials provides (for purchase) supplementary teacher-made materials to support the teaching of The Cambridge Latin Course 4th and 5th Editions.
The NACCP Board of elected governors consists of experienced CLC teachers both active and retired.
